This is the first time all of the girls rode together in the same row of my van. It was so sweet. I stopped in the back of the van as I was walking back around to my seat and reflected. I could see all their little heads and they were laughing and talking. It made me think of all the sisterly things possible in the future. Relationships I never had. The differences between sisters and brother-sisters. But I also thought about the past and how far we have come. Of all the growth that has taken place in our lives. I love our family unit right now. So many days I comment to my kids that I would bottle their ages if I could. But I know that eventually it wouldn't be fun and I would miss out on all the events currently to big for us. So today I pause and reflect. On all my blessings. Both now and the dream of those to come.
We went to the library this day just like we do on most summer days. But this day was different, special. Cam spied a duck puppet and once she picked it up she would not give it up. So I borrowed it for her. She wore the whole week. Even to the grocery store. I eventually snuck it away from her and returned it. Whew!! Am I glad.
