TRIMMING!! -8/09

Making the guys fruit salad to go w/their pizza.
No CRACKING on my calendar. I am way behind in EVERYTHING!!! :)
SO beautiful. Waiting till I turned my back so they could climb through the window onto the front porch.
Me newly built stair case. Isn't it so pretty. Reuben built them. The top will have carpet until the wall ends on the left in which case open treads will appear. Stained the color of my hard wood. Mike has yet to build the newel post. But guess what?? I get to design it. I know...I know...Awesome right.
Of course I had to supply coffee after lunch. That is Kevin in the living room.
I have no idea what she was doing but had to get a pic.
The dirt piles are to tempting to be left alone.
My point exactly!! I know better than to dress all 3 of them in white. But i didn't realize we'd be at the house so long. Where they obviously have nothing better to play. Especially now that the house if filled w/power tools!
LOOK AT THOSE HEADERS!!! Over my Doorways! Dwight and Mike designed them and Mike built them. Based on what I had described. PERFECT!!!

Starting on my dining room. Mike called earlier than I had expected. He wanted me to come over early to inspect the progress. He wanted my approval. So cool that I get the privelage to be involved in every aspect. Even others who build there own houses aren't married to the laborers. So COOL! I am blessed and So THANKFUL to the LORD!! The process is my favorite part, not just the finished new house. I would do this for a profession if I felt it appropriate. I don't at this time!!:) LOVE IT!
Brent & Dwight. D is actually a very skilled carpenter. Mike says he is more patient than him, if that tells you anything. That is why he got asssigned the responsiblity of the dining room. Don't you love the design so far. He even was able to move my outlets for me, again. SO FUN!!! The plywood will be painted WHITE. Suprise.
Measuring the plywood for inbetween the boards. All the walls in here will be dimensional. Boards alternating w/plywood. The boards are deeper. Then the top has thick, flat, chairrail
My living room/Shop:)
The current state of my Kitchen. We used the sawhorse as a buffet. BUT SO MUCH FUN, I could care less at this point about the mess!!!! Or how dirty my kids get!!!
