Mothers Day! #9

I love being a mom. I had the greatest pleasure of hosting 1 of my very best friends this Mothers Day. Kat! We got to meet each others kids! About time, so fun! It was a complete surprise to me. Ashamed of myself, you'll see why after the jump.

To recap this past week: Last weekend one of my other very best friends Jo came on a last min. quick trip w/all 3 of her cuties! We stayed up till wee hours of morning on Fri., BBQed sat, and went to a carnival! Both weekends were very surreal. Keep in mind none of us planned thses visits, I hadn't seen either of them in 8 years. The 3 of us ran together back in the day. My present life got to meet my past. I think my girls were starting to doubt I actually had girlfriends before I got married and that I had a life as a single person. Proof!!! I got to meet Isabelle-5, Noah-3, Rocco-1, Jersey & Cheyenne-2 (identical twin girlies). News! KAT is PREGNANT.

(Lets be clear. 3 of our families closest peeps all due within 2 months of each other. The funny part, Katie & Kat r 2 days apart in age and Missy is 2 moths behind. We are all 31. Weird huh? I can't wait to see which sex everyone is expecting!! I am hoping to make beau coup baby gifts this summer.)

Between my bookend weekends Mikes Grandma passed away. (To long for now) It was an exhausting week, out of town company & family, Calling hours, Funeral and Mothers day! Mike did an awesome job, he sang, and played "How deep the Fathers love" with accoustic guitar, at the service. I made homemade hairpieces for the girls. Black w/bird feathers. BEAUTIFUL!

Then on Friday I so desperately wanted to keep the girls home from school BUT Em and I had waited all year long for this special event. MOTHERS TEA. It was a blast. A few 7th graders served/waited on us, we had live Mandolin music by a 6th grader and I got to bring my very favorite tea cup!!! Em made me such sweet gifts. We even wore matching outfits. Ab was mad I didn't do that with her:)

Sunday was the girls Mothers Day program. The whole service consisted of their music. Cam had her very first speaking part: Y-is for just being you!

Girls made me such great gifts! I awoke to a dozen Hot Pink Roses and a MC *Don*alds Fra*ppe! YUM!

We even managed to squeeze in attending 3 birthday parties. Am I loosing it?!?

DRUM ROLL PLEASE: I TOOK NOT 1, NOT 1 single picture the whole week. AAAAAAAAAAAAGH!! HOw could I do this to myself???

I am going to beg, borrow, & steal (if I have to:) to get photos rounded up for y'all.
