Abbey and Emme's school always has a back-to-school day. It is the first Saturday before the official school kick-off which is on Wednesday. This is the day they find out their teachers will be. We get to walk through the classrooms, meet the teacher, find where their desks are and most importantly see which other students will be in class with them all year. Every room is open and the teacher available from Art to Orchestra. Abbey started piano this year.
Also they provide games, food, all you can handle snow cones and a band outside on the lawn. This is where all the available activities, clubs and sports have booths set-up. That way you can ask questions, meet the leader or find a new area of interest. Some are only available to certain grades. Like Ski or Lego club, they even have a chess club.
Ab was in the drama/musical club in 1st grade every Tuesday afterschool resulting in a major "musi-i-kal". (HS musical quote) but she opted out this year. She doesn't like the spotlight much. (and no I took no photos of her musical in first grade. oops)
Abbey's desk. She actually has text books this year. So fun and, yet weird.Grandma flew in for the girls first day of school. Em had a biggee. Kindergarten .
Here is Cam loving having 2 big sisters. She always enjoys going to the school w/me. Its funny how the baby of the family knows so much more that the first born did. Not in terms of academics of course, firstees are usually on top of facts. I mean as far as life goes, Cam has been exposed to so much more that Ab was simply because we were home most of the time. I am so glad I still have a 3 year old at home. (at the time of this event.) I am not ready for all of them to be away from me. Yet. . .
