I had planned on doing this post ages ago. (NOT JUST BECAUSE SHE ONLY STARTED READING THIS BLOG 2 DAYS AGO:) In fact I have a post drafted in May under her name. But since we took such a good photo w/ neither of us w/child I had to post in now. This was our wonderous night of shopping after a 2 year delay called "Cammi". It used to be our usual routine. And I need a girls night out bad at this point.
PROVERBS 17:17- "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity".
ECCLESIASTES 4:9- "2 are better than 1, because they have a good work return for their work; If 1 falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Though 1 may be overpowered, 2 can defend themselves. A cord of 3 strands is not quickly broken".
AND THE 2 VERSUS THAT CONTINUALLY COME TO MIND WHEN I THINK OF OUR FRIENDSHIP:
PROVERBS 13:20- "he who walks w/the WISE grows WISE, but a companion of fools suffers harm.
&
PROVERBS 27:17- "AS IRON SHARPENS IRON SO ONE MAN SHARPENS ANOTHER."

I am thankful for Beth for so many reasons but so that I do not make all my readers cry (from boredom or sadness:) here is my top 10 list of reasons why I love that girl:
10- Her ability to run a farm or zoo whichever way you choose to see it. :)
Regardless, my kids love going over to "the farm" as it is referred in our house. Even Cammi now pushes me out the door. They love when I leave and Beth does something special w/them. (Esp. the time she read Ab a book on a King w/ cherries -or something along those lines- and then proceeded to make from scratch and bake a cherry pie w/her. I walked in to eat dinner w/them and there they were in the kitchen all alone. No boys around. It touched my heart.) Ps. I'm glad I could help her out that way, producing the girls and all:)
9- The fact that we have such similar taste (our houses) yet we are completely different (she's a self-proclaimed tomboy at heart -hence #10).
8- And equally important as working hard she has taught me to rest hard. During my kids "quiet time" I often hink of her. Knowing that she is most likely at home taking her mom break w/a cup of coffee as well.
7- She has taught me so many practical home-making skills. How to harvest fruit/veggies at the right time and freeze them. My yet to master wheat- bread- from- scratch skill. How to garden, craft w/my kids, home school, resourcefulness and prioritizing. (bethisims= "you know what beth says..")
6- The way she can take things in stride while I stew (over-analyze). Her ability to make a quick decision and move on. No matter how big. Or as we like to call it. ADD.
(5a&b= "OUR BOOK CLUB" while we throw in a little strategizing on step 4 :)
5b- Our equally shared insatiable appetite for yet another book.- (& low regard for the t.v.)
5a- Our unquenchable addiction to finer coffees.
4-My admiration of the way she raises her kids. How she gives her husband a place of importance and strives to do her best.
3-If I can't live by Art & Karen at least I can live by Beth & Ryan who remind me of Art & Karen. The come as you are-I am, my home is always open, fridge is always full mentality may have something to do w/it:)
2-The simple fact her family has taken us in like their own.
1- She walks w/the Lord almost as hard as I do :) Can you say Precepts??
