"Aren't you scared?", I am asked by many concerning my blog. After mulling over this question and many others I've come to a few conclusions.

Allow me to share:

1) My purpose for blogging is this: 'TO STAY CONNECTED TO MY FAMILY & FRIENDS WHO LIVE AWAY FROM MY FAMILY'

2)Anything worth doing in life is a RISK and Cost's SOMETHING.

3)Am I willing to take those risks? and pay a price for blogging?

4)TO a certain extent.

5)I would love for others to read my blog. This particular blog is public knowledge. I have a separate blog, set to private, for my own personal writings and to keep my memories.

6)My blog is to me, like an on-line scrapbook. I can document our life events and show them to my family.

7)But not at the expense of my families safety.

8)THUS, I HAVE INSTALLED THE SITEMETER. I can retrieve information on who is checking my blog, when, from where and how long.

9)OF course there may be ways around this. (HACKERS??) But for the most part this can be a deterrent. If necessary I could use this information.

10)Hopefully I will not have to.

I have realized why so many people blog. I myself have enjoyed the communication and connection w/others. Even those I have met out of state. The day and age will live in is technology driven. There are pro's and con's to everything we do. I have chosen to weigh those sides and am sticking w/blogging. I am having fun.
