Valentines Party!

. Emme & Cammi got invited to Mackenzie's Valentine Tea Party! They already missed one this week due to a prior engagement and were so disappointed about missing it. Well I almost made them stay at home because I didn't want to take Abbey out in the cold on Friday. I thought she was coming down w/Pneumonia. But June called and said they could stay all afternoon w/out me there and that she would drive them home. O...K.
SO CAMMI WENT TO HER VERY FIRST DROP-OFF-BIG-GIRL-PARTY ALONE. Did you hear me?? Alone, yes she was w/Emme but still.....my baby. went. alone. to a party!!! and yes she was with her cousin but still..... did you catch that? I dropped her off.
And she strutted in like she had always been dropped off. She had no fear. She didn't turn and look or wave or kiss me or say good-bye or...or... (sobbing now) My baby! And this coming from me who swears by fostering a "NO baby syndrome zone". But again, reality may be settling in now. 2 is not that old I know but for your baby, it is !!!


**By the way I was so rushed and was caught off guard about it being a dress up party. I had Valentine outfits from grandma D. laid out but they were supposed to wear costumes. So I scrapped my original plan and imagine my surprise (*gasp*) when I went in to Em's closet and had only a cajjilion ballet recital outfit-costume-tutus to choose from. SWEET! So they each chose there own. And since Cam has never been in a recital but lo-oooves to wear Em's ballet stuff she appropriately chose this one. And of course I HAD to show a picture of her, in her first, although out on loan, ballet recital costume. **
