My new desk. I love my little area. Although the walls aren't finished -that's just primer- and I still need to find the right chair, it has already inspired me! I'll show you my projects.

I am sewing!! Yes me! Yea, I love it. I have been making my own bows. My newest ribbon is brown w/pink polka dots. My favorite part about making my own besides using my imagination is that I can make 3 matching in any sizes I want. Plus I can co-ordinate w/any outfit I am planning to wear on the girls. Plus it may be more cost affective. Love that!
The bottom fabrics are the materials for Cammi's dress and pants outfit. I'll post the finished product later. For the black fabric I had to scour stores high and low and finally, this is not an exaggeration, the bottom rack at the last store held my prized beauty. I knew exactly what I wanted to make.

These!! I have always used a cork/dry erase board in my kitchens to display projects and to hold school assignments. But I have also been adding chore assignments for each girl. Even though Cammi can't yet read she
doesn't want to be left out. Well I wanted my board to match my decor so I decided to make my own. I had 3 picture frames that matched already.
First I took the glass out. Then I cut cork to match the size of the glass.
x's 3. Then i wrapped the cork w/my favorite fabric and hot glued away. I then put the pieces back together and I have a matching
cork board for my kitchen.
And the best part is that each girl gets her own!! Yea, that's always the easiest way to have things and it's fun. Plus the teacher in me knows this will teach the girls to take ownership/responsibilities of their own lives. Lastly I want to get the first initial of each of their names and paint them black or gold. I plan on hanging the each girls initial next to her board. I haven't decided horizontal or vertical yet.
Only because I have another project to hang along with these.
Hopefully I can show you the final outcome of our kitchen. Still a work in progress. Though yesterday I did finally manage to narrow down my hardware choices
And instead of taking any back to the stores I have successfully managed to use them all. I know I get carried away w/decoration/design. I am using 2 different
hardware in my kitchen. 3 if you count my pantry doors. But hey whose counting?? oh yea me?:)!
Can't wait to show you.... soon my friends!
P.s.
Don't you love how I always have just 1 more thing to say??
And in case you were wondering. The little bottle of gold paint is for another project hiding inside my garage. HaHa! I feel like a mad-scientist. Now just imagine me wringing my hands in tiny circles. Got it? ok now fill in your image with hideous, excited laughter. Finished?
That's me!!
