Jakey! 8/09

It seems I was so excited to get caught up on my blog I
posted Spring pictures of Abs Second grade year. SO many milestones took place in her life during Fall 2009- Fall 2010 I must now backtrack. (If only we could had posts in between-if you know how please tell me.)

Without further wait, I present to you JAKEY. Abs first official pet. We had fish before but this was her "pet" project. She found him in the pond behind our house and wanted to keep him so badly Mike and I couldn't say no. Though we both knew we were the ones who were making the commitment to the responsibility of this turtle.

Just a baby. I myself had a turtle and remembered he was fairly easy to keep alive. Sold.

The neighbor boy kept the other one.
