PRIDE IS A BEAST!!
My generation and the one directly behind mine, cries out for authenticity. I know I personally do. We are parched! Dry and Hungry!!! I long for true PROMISE KEEPERS. For leaders to walk in the light as they do in the Dark. I beg for longevity, endurance and faithfulness.
But as we seek for realness in others and long to be known for being "real", do we sacrifice humility? Do we pride ourselves on "keepin' it real"? I know I have. And today I was called out. God put his finger directly and pointedly on this hidden motive of mine. Unbeknownst to me until early this morning I had a hangnail in my spiritual life. God yanked that puppy right out. Thank Goodness. The very thing I don't care for in others, a fortress of self, has again crept up again in my life.
??How am I to THINK & LIVE in the LIGHT OF GOD'S TRUTHS??? ~(Humbly, Maybe? Just one thought)
I know I long for the balance of Transparency and Transformation!!! With Christ as THE focus!!
